Only about 5% of elementary school science teachers major in the subjects they teach, and only 39% report that they are confident in teaching scientific material.

Our Mission

In short, we aim to change the above statistics. We hope to increase teacher preparedness and self-efficacy in the sciences by connecting elementary, middle, and high school science educators with students majoring in the subjects they wish to cover. In doing so, teachers can design complex units with the help of someone who truly understands the material to be presented.

At present, the opposition, so far as the practical affairs of the school are concerned, tends to take the form of contrast
between traditional and progressive education.
